London, 30 August 2016 – Tax transparency and compliance will remain at the top of HMRC and other global tax authorities’ agendas for the foreseeable future and have become increasingly critical to any insurance business. The cost of non-compliance can not only be expensive in monetary terms but can also cause irreparable damage to a company’s reputation and share price.
At their London and Dublin events FiscalReps will bring together over 100 senior tax managers from insurers across Europe to discuss and debate the latest changes to IPT and indirect taxation.
In addition to giving a general update on tax issues affecting the insurance industry, speakers will be sharing their thoughts and views on BREXIT and BEPS and giving a sneak preview of their new proprietary software, taxBOX®.
taxBOX® provides full compliance with premium tax across the globe. This market-leading premium tax database and software is aimed at multi-national insurance companies and anyone working with international insurance programmes. Its ground-breaking software gives companies everything they need to ensure full compliance – enabling efficient sign-off with tax authorities in multiple tax jurisdictions.
The London Academy will also cover the taxation of insurance products in detail with a focus on cyber, energy, aviation and construction as well as discussing the impact of VAT/GST on global insurance programmes.
Guest speaker Jonathon Drake will be joining the FiscalReps team to discuss the UK Insurance Act. Jonathan is a partner at UK legal firm Bond Dickinson and specialises in all aspects of non-contentious insurance and reinsurance law and regulation.
Mike Stalley, FCA, Founder and Chief Executive of FiscalReps, said:
