On Thursday 11 th February 2016 Karen Jenner, Director and Joseph Finbow, Client Director attended the first UK Captive Summit in London.
 
The format of the day was a mixture of Panel and Roundtable sessions with networking breaks and a drinks reception, with over 60 Risk Managers and Captive Owners in attendance.
 
Agenda items throughout the event included BEPS, Employee Benefits, International Programmes, Investments for Captive Income, Cyber Risk, Increasing Captive Value, Managing Run-Off Liabilities, Asset Liability Management, Solvency II,  and Adding new and Emerging Lines to your Captive.
 
Joseph and Karen ran three workshops, “Allocating Premium and Staying Compliant” which were facilitated and led by Andrew Fenton, Group Insurance Manager, MBDA;  
Matthew McEwan, Director, Risk Management, Coca-Cola Enterprising; and Mark Simpson, Experienced Risk and Insurance Manager.  Discussions during the sessions included DIC-DIL and Non Admitted coverage, location of risk rulings, premium allocation methodology and responsibilities, statutes of limitations, documenting compliance, and encouraging good behaviours and Risk Management.
 
Christophe Bourdaire, Senior Client Manager then joined both Karen and Joseph for the awards dinner where FiscalReps picked up the “Tax Advisory Firm” award for the fourth consecutive year.
